Instories Creator Portal — Supplementary Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 23, 2026
These Supplementary Terms and Conditions (the “Supplementary Terms”) govern your participation in the Instories Creator program (the “Program”) available through the Instories Creator Portal (the “Service”). These Supplementary Terms supplement the Instories Terms of Service (the “General Terms”) available at https://instories.com/terms-and-conditions. If there is any conflict between these Supplementary Terms and the General Terms, these Supplementary Terms will control with respect to your participation in the Program.
By participating in the Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Supplementary Terms. Participation requires your explicit acceptance via a consent checkbox prior to accessing any campaign.
1. Eligibility & Regional Availability
1.1. The Program may be available only in select regions. Instories may maintain an allow list of eligible countries (“Allow List”) and may update it at any time in its sole discretion.
1.2. Campaign availability may vary by region and may change without notice due to partner requirements, regulatory considerations, or capacity constraints.
1.3. Your eligibility to participate in the Program (or in specific campaigns) may be enabled or disabled based on your region of residence and/or the geographic distribution of your audience.
1.4. Eligibility may also depend on the expected reach of your connected social media accounts, as determined by Instories in its sole discretion.
1.5. You are responsible for ensuring that your participation in the Program complies with all applicable local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction (including advertising and influencer marketing disclosure rules).
1.6. Instories may suspend or terminate access to the Program in any region without prior notice where required by legal, regulatory, or business considerations.
1.7. You are solely responsible for complying with all advertising, sponsorship, endorsement, consumer protection, and disclosure laws, regulations, rules, and industry guidelines applicable in your jurisdiction and in any jurisdiction where your content is distributed or targeted.
1.8. Where applicable, you must clearly and lawfully disclose the commercial nature of your content, including any advertisement, sponsorship, paid partnership, affiliate, or promotional relationship with Instories, in the manner required by the laws and regulations applicable to you.
1.9. Instories does not provide legal advice regarding disclosure requirements in your jurisdiction. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for determining, understanding, and complying with all such requirements applicable to your content and activities under the Program.
2. Account Verification
2.1. To participate in the Program, you must complete verification for each platform account you intend to use. Verification methods may vary by platform and may include, without limitation, bio/description code placement, code placement in a public post, or other methods determined by Instories.
2.2. Unverified accounts are not eligible to participate in campaigns. Campaigns may be visible in the Service but may be locked or restricted until you complete verification and accept these Supplementary Terms.
2.3. Instories may revoke verification status at any time if it reasonably believes account information is inaccurate, misleading, or obtained through fraudulent means.
3. Content Verification & Fraud Detection
3.1. All submissions are subject to review to confirm compliance with campaign requirements and to assess the authenticity of engagement and performance metrics.
3.2. Reviews may be automated, manual, or both. Instories may update its fraud detection criteria and capabilities at any time; the methodology used to evaluate submissions may change without notice.
3.3. Attempts to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or manipulate verification or fraud detection systems constitute a material breach of these Supplementary Terms and may result in rejection, payment withholding, and/or permanent removal from the Program.
3.4. Determinations by Instories regarding compliance, fraud, and eligibility are final, except as expressly described in these Supplementary Terms.
4. Submission Acceptance & Rejection
4.1. Submissions may be rejected for reasons including, but not limited to:
a) Suspicious Activity / Fraud
- Artificial or inorganic engagement (purchased views, likes, comments, subscribers, etc.)
- Bot-generated or incentivized interactions
- View count or engagement manipulation of any kind
- Use of click farms, engagement pods, or similar services
- Submission of content originally created by another creator
- Duplicate submissions across multiple accounts or channels
b) Non-Compliance with Campaign Requirements
- Content does not meet the campaign brief (required product/UI demonstration, mentions, disclosures, etc.)
- Content does not meet minimum quality or duration standards (if specified)
- Content was not published within the campaign’s submission window
- Content was published on an unapproved platform/account
- Any other violation of the General Terms or applicable policies
4.2. Instories reserves the right to reject any submission at its sole discretion, even if the reason is not listed above.
4.3. Rejection of a submission does not entitle you to any payment for that submission.
5. Support & Communications
5.1. If you have questions about a rejection, payout amount, or any Program decision, you may contact support exclusively via email at support@instories.com (or another address specified in the Service).
5.2. The Service may display administrative comments related to your submission or payout inside your dashboard. You cannot reply to these comments in-app. Email support is the only available channel.
5.3. Instories does not guarantee response times and may request additional information (links, screenshots, or other evidence) as part of its review.
6. License to Use Content
6.1. By submitting, uploading, or otherwise providing any content as part of the Program (including, without limitation, videos, images, captions, usernames, and related materials) (the “Content”), you grant Instories a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:
- use, reproduce, display, publish, and distribute the Content within the Service;
- repost and share the Content on Instories’ own websites, applications, and official social media channels;
- use the Content for marketing, promotional, and advertising purposes related to the Service and the Program.
6.2. The license granted under this Section is valid for the duration of your participation in the Program and for a reasonable period thereafter for archival, promotional, and business purposes.
6.3. You represent and warrant that:
- you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to grant the rights set out in these Supplementary Terms;
- the Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- any third-party materials included in the Content are properly licensed or used with appropriate permission.
6.4. Instories is not obligated to use any Content and may remove or stop using Content at any time at its sole discretion.
7. Payouts (CPM Model), Campaign Window & Rounding
7.1. Payouts are available only for accepted submissions, successful verification (if required), and completion of all campaign requirements.
7.2. Each campaign uses a CPM-based payout rule set by Instories (“CPM Rate”). The CPM Rate may vary by campaign and may be updated for future campaigns or as otherwise determined by Instories.
7.3. For campaigns with a measurement window, views are counted within a fixed period (e.g., 7 days) beginning at the time Instories accepts the submission, unless the campaign states otherwise (“Campaign Window”).
7.4. Rounding Down Rule: Views are converted into billable thousands by rounding down to the nearest 1,000.
Example: 12,100 views → 12 billable thousands (paid as 12, not 12.1).
7.5. Auto Calculation: The Service may calculate an automatic payout amount based on billable thousands and the campaign’s CPM Rate.
7.6. Admin Review & Manual Override: Instories may approve the auto-calculated payout or apply a manual override (including setting the payout to $0 in the event of fraud). If Instories applies a manual override, it will provide a comment explaining the decision, which will be visible in your campaign results. You acknowledge that:
- Partial fraud may result in a reduced payout amount at Instories’ discretion.
- Manual override decisions are final unless Instories chooses to reconsider via support review.
7.7. Instories may withhold, delay, adjust, or reclaim payouts if fraud, policy violations, or errors are suspected or detected — including after an initial amount is shown or credited.
7.8. Payment processing timelines may vary. Instories will make commercially reasonable efforts to process payouts promptly, but delays may occur due to verification, fraud review, payment provider processing, or high volume.
7.9. Payment Method. Unless otherwise specified by Instories, payouts under the Program are made via PayPal to the payout account designated by you in the Service.
7.10. Currency. All payouts under the Program are calculated and paid in United States dollars (USD).
7.11. Minimum Withdrawal Threshold. You may request or receive a payout only once your approved and available balance reaches at least USD 500. If your available balance is below this threshold, the balance will remain in your account until the threshold is met, subject to these Supplementary Terms.
7.12. Fees. Instories does not charge a payout commission for transferring funds to your designated PayPal account. However, you are solely responsible for any third-party fees, charges, currency conversion costs, bank charges, PayPal charges, or similar costs imposed by your payment provider, bank, or other intermediary, unless otherwise expressly stated by Instories.
7.13. Payout Procedure. To receive payment, you must provide complete and accurate payout information as requested by Instories and maintain a valid PayPal account capable of receiving USD payments. Instories is not responsible for failed, delayed, or rejected payouts resulting from incorrect payout details, restrictions on your payment account, or issues caused by third-party payment providers.
7.14. Forfeiture of Unclaimed Balance. If you have an approved payable balance and do not withdraw or otherwise validly receive such funds within six (6) months after such balance becomes available for payout, Instories may, at its sole discretion, forfeit such unpaid balance, and such amounts will revert to Instories.
7.15. Suspension, Blocking, and Inability to Pay. If your Program account is suspended, blocked, terminated, inaccessible, or otherwise unable to receive payout due to your breach of these Supplementary Terms, the General Terms, fraud review, failure to maintain valid payout details, legal restrictions, or other circumstances attributable to you, Instories may withhold, cancel, or forfeit any unpaid balance to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7.16. Unforeseen Circumstances. Instories reserves the right to withhold, defer, cancel, or return unpaid balances to Instories where payout cannot reasonably be completed due to legal, regulatory, compliance, technical, fraud-related, payment-provider, sanctions-related, or other unforeseen circumstances, as determined by Instories in its reasonable discretion.
8. Confidentiality
8.1. You agree to treat campaign details, payout rates, and administrative communications as confidential unless Instories expressly allows disclosure in writing.
8.2. You may not publicly disclose, share, or screenshot payout amounts, administrative notes, or internal communications related to the Program without Instories’ prior written consent.
8.3. Violations may result in removal from the Program and forfeiture of pending payouts.
9. Removal & Suspension
9.1. Instories may suspend or permanently remove you from the Program at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Supplementary Terms or the General Terms
- Fraudulent activity or suspected fraud
- Repeated submission rejections
- Misuse of the Service or harmful conduct
9.2. Upon removal, pending payouts for unverified, disputed, or suspicious submissions may be withheld. Payouts for accepted submissions completed prior to removal will be processed according to standard timelines, subject to fraud and policy review.
10. Taxes
10.1. You are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, levies, assessments, withholdings, charges, and other governmental fees of any kind that may apply to your participation in the Program or to any payouts you receive, under the laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction.
10.2. Instories is not responsible for determining whether any taxes apply to your participation in the Program, and is not responsible for collecting, reporting, remitting, or paying any taxes on your behalf, except to the extent required by applicable law.
10.3. You are solely responsible for filing all required tax returns, making all required tax payments, and complying with any tax registration, invoicing, reporting, or other tax-related obligations applicable to you.
11. Indemnification by You
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Instories, its affiliates, officers, and employees from losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (i) your content under the Program, including compliance with third-party rights and advertising laws, (ii) your violation of these Supplementary Terms or the General Terms, or (iii) your violation of applicable laws or regulations. Company reserves the right, at its own cost, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will fully cooperate with Company in asserting any available defenses.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1. The Program is provided “as is” and “as available.” Instories makes no guarantees regarding campaign availability, payout amounts, platform uptime, or outcomes of any submission.
12.2. Instories will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Program.
12.3. Instories’ total liability to you in connection with the Program will not exceed the total payouts actually paid to you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Program will be governed by the laws of Cyprus, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
13.2. You and Instories agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as part of any class, collective, or representative action.
14. Modifications
14.1. Instories may modify these Supplementary Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted at https://creator.instories.com/terms with an updated “Last updated” date.
14.2. Continued participation in the Program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
15. Consent
By participating in the Program, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Supplementary Terms in full.
- You agree to be bound by these Supplementary Terms and the General Terms.
- You understand that violations may result in submission rejection, payment withholding/adjustment, or removal from the Program.
- You understand the View Window (if applicable), the rounding down rule, and that payouts may be manually overridden with an administrative comment.
